TORUS SCARF PATTERN

Torus is an ancient geometrical spiral makes a perfect crochet motif, circle, square or hexagon.


Alize space dyed, cotton yarn takes about 6g per motif depending on the join stitch...

Again as the original circle...

quite a choice for the adaptable TORUS





TORUS SQUARE PATTERN
US TERMS
Alize space dyed cotton
4mm hook

Each Square weighs approx. 6g and 14 motifs measure approx. 3'/ 184cms
 2 balls will make approx. a 6' scarf with a narrow border of hdc.


Finger wrap of 10 wraps
ROUND 1: [Ch1 counts as first sc], 12 sc into circle, sl st to complete circle, cont. [12sc]


ROUND 2: Ch7, sc into next st, ch7 sc into next st, repeat until you have 11 x ch7 loops, ch4, tr into last st, cont. [12 ch7 loops]


  NOTE: Using ch3 and a tr, for the last loop means you are at the top of the loop to continue round 3.


ROUND 3: ch6, sc, into next loop, repeat to end, for the last loop ch3, tr for last loop, cont. [12 x ch6 loops]

NOTE: To help find the first loop add a stitch mark so you don't miss it as you do the round..it's easily done!

ROUND 4, 5 & 6: repeat round 3, ch6 loops, sc into each previous round loops.
ON ROUND 6, ch6 and sl st into first ch to complete the round

ROUND 7: Will turn the circular motif into a square that can be joined together to make a scarf.
6sc in next loop, ch1, 6sc into next loop, ch1, 3sc, ch3, 3sc in corner sp. repeat for all sides



JOIN AS YOU GO
After completing the first square with round 7...
start in any corner of the next square, 3sc, ch1, sl st to join to first completed square, ch1, 3sc in corner sp, sl st, into next ch1 sp, 6sc in next loop, sl st, into next ch1 sp, 6sc, in next loop, sl st into next ch1 sp, repeat for each joining side

CENTRE JOIN AS YOU GO





FINISH
Make 28 motifs, 2 rows of 14 motifs, approx 6'/ 184cms. long width 10"/ 25cms
edge with one row of 1hdc, in each st, and sp, 2hdc, ch2, 2hdc, at corners



 If a deeper border is required then you will need a 3rd ball of the yarn 

BLOCK AND STEAM INTO SHAPE
Pin it out and either spray and leave to dry or steam with an Iron
