LIFE'S COLOURS APRIL LO'S

Snapshot challenge made my own up for this month will do the actual challenge LO when it appears.....

'LIFES COLOURS'....for April 2009 l included all the colourful pics in my life...

I'm a blonde with blue eyes and always wear colourful clothes

I've been doing some large collages of lime orange and pink flowers

All the fields around are full of bright citrus yellow rape seed

The weather has been summer like and we've had beautiful blue skies

I painted the dining room wall red and

I have lots of yellow orange and pink candles and

New gorgeous shocking pink gerbers and of course we had moved back into the conservatory with temperatures in the upper 30's back to our real comfy orange sofa

Another flower collage with striped stem flowers

Large flower on newspaper die cuts....recycled cat food boxes

Cat food boxes covered in newspaper gives a nice texture when glued to the cardboard then put through a circle die cut

Some to be left as newspaper some to be painted and guilded to bring out the texture

going to add another above it a circle or square theme to co-ordinate l think is a possibility

Cat food boxes, raspberry and pink paint some photographic print and stamped flowers a pair of scissors pva and a brush.....and l had as much fun as James

Winging it's way to James for his Birthday on Saturday......25yrs old on the 25th 2009 so thought Silver was a good idea

Chat tonight he's having a wonderful time up to his waist in water today.....sounds like fun!!.....One big holiday camp he thinks every stage just keeps getting better and better.....happy son happy Mum!!

An artist friend said it looked better on a white wall...have to agree she is right

went for 'less is more'...took out quite a few of the small forground die cut flowers....cant wait to start the next one will have to be a small canvas next all l have for now but going to try doing a canvas from scratch found some untreated canvas in loft.....all l need is a basic frame

EASTER LAYOUT

Easter LO to see what the painting will look like over the bed when its finished and remember what l did for Easter 2009 of course!

Copying didn't work ended up cutting out and painting the flower shapes still not sure if l should paint the background first of stick flowers down and then paint the back ground....experiments to do in art journal me thinks before l decide

not sure l want a crisp edge to flowers or a blurry edge...sort of stitched edge maybe!!!!

GOING BACK TO HP PRINTER

Off to Argos (cheapest l could find) and a local shop to buy a HP C4280 printer so fed up with the epson crap printer l bought less than a year ago....thought the individual cartridges were a good idea but THEY ARE NOT.....if one runs out the whole printer wont work and you just cant get past this problem even if your not using the colour thats run out

BEGINNINGS OF 2 FLORAL COLLAGES

Should have been a lime and aqua flowers first the inspiration from a duvet cover....but the printer ran out of cerise ink so wont print anything....must buy a new printer

So l just played around with all the colours and wallpapers l had for now

added a few smaller die cut flowers too not sure what the end collage will be like yet but love the flowers l have so far large ones are about 12" and the smallest about 1"



hehehehe like scrapbooking on a grand scale.....very relaxing though cutting out flowers

ONE HAPPY BUNNY THIS EASTER

All the big red flower wallpaper up today l'll finish painting the Lime Green wall tomorrow....need to be brave as its up a ladder for me......wall over the stairs all the way to the upstairs and l'm frightened of heights so wish me luckkitchen end.....paper reflects in the big mirror on the red wall in the dining room
had to reverse the paper to match a flower either side of hood

big red flowers on the long wall the door wall has been painted (1st coat) LIME GREEN will finish this off tomorrow and the head board wall in our room and then l need to decide on the chimney beast in Lounge...paper or paint?...then what colour?

l wanted shocking pink but Phil has to live with it too and really isn't keen on 'pink' lol


Then the upstair stair wall and the bedroom wall decoration.....using the wallpaper flowers and some copies of flowers from a duvet cover l've copied to make a large floral freize

oh! and make some big red flower canvases for the dining room too
and l need to do something with the back of the book cases or move them!

Seen a lovely lime green runner that may go in the hall from Ikea....a trip there would be nice sometime this Easter
then the spare room to do and all finished lol....till next time
