WHY CRAFTERS ARE HAPPY PEOPLE.....

EXPERIENCE OVER POSSESSIONS?
Psychological research suggests that, in the long run, experiences make people happier than possessions.
Yes l can agree with that one
That's in part because the initial joy of acquiring a new object, such as a new car, fades over time as people become accustomed to seeing it every day.
Doesn't that depends on the possession?
they took 10 days to open...a wonderful experience every day
Experiences, on the other hand, continue to provide happiness through memories long after the event occurred.
That's why all us happy hookers are fabulously happy then?
a ball of wool,  a hook (a possession) and get many hours of pleasure from creating (an experience)
Moral to this story lol... invest in a possession that become great experiences

BEST OF BOTH WORLDS?
Playing hooky, plants and flowers do it for me, what possessions that become experiences
 make you happy?
Enjoy your day x

  3. So many things make me happy, my yarn, my fabrics, my family and pets. Good friends make me happy, and I want to thank you for visiting and your suggestion about mixing the yarns. I have never worked with sock yarn, but have used sport weight and mixed that. The other yarns I have worked with are worsted weight and baby (fingering). It is so true that you can get an added assortment of colors when you do that. And for anyone reading this, here is a little hint for when you need another color to add to your fabric stash, I read somewhere that you can flip the fabric over and use the wrong side to give you another newer looking color to go with the ones you are using. Works great when you are short on funds but long on fabrics. Have a good weekend.

    1. Hi Susanne, definitely, many years of working with fabrics was always an interesting exercise to use the back of fabrics too, especially if you do some embroidery on them too lol
      Thanks for the tip

  4. One of my possessions that makes me happy every time I use them are my sterling silver crochet hooks. How's Noo Noo doing? Our youngest son got a 1978 or so bus for his wife and they've had so much fun with it. It's quite ummmm.. imperfect inside. They take their 2 and 3 year old camping in it! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
