Change around in the kitchen so a new throw is needed....

New Look in the Kitchen for 2014 so using the glass cutting mat in the top picture for inspiration...

 

I have a new WIP Throw for the purple sofa in the Kitchen

The Motif is the pillow design from my book with a couple of small changes.

 

Been doing a bit of sorting too..... a few of the ball bands, into colour co-ordinated pots...

 

 

And I haven't killed the Christmas trees by putting them outside...both have sprouted tiny buds that have appeared in the last few days.....whey hey!!

And the pot of Black Tulips are really starting to take off too....

Pentagon Jacket and some Wizz Aran Flowers....

I was thinking bright pinks for the flwers on this Pentagon Jacket but the

Wizz Aran flowers work too...

 

The Quickie Cowl grew a little..wearable but i would add a couple more rows if I find any more of the James C Brett, Marble chunky Yarn in my craftroom...it so needs a good sort out in there.

Are you a mover of furniture?

I'm always moving furniture around.

 

Last night I decided I needed a different view from the sofa........instead of looking at the door I thought the window and the fireplace would be good for a change.

 

And a change of throws and cushions was in order too....

Don't they say....... a change is as good as a rest?

Living Christmas trees.....

When Phil and I had our first Christmas together almost 9 years ago, we bought a small table top living Christmas tree. You should see it now about 13' high in the garden of our old house....and it looks fabulous.

 

We planned to do the same when we moved to this house, but never got around to it.

 

Until this year and we bought two slow growing

PICEA Glauca 'Conica' they will grow to about 7' over 25years.

 

GARDEN QUESTION????

It is gorgeous out side today but won't it be a shock to them if I leave them out side from now on after being in central heating for a month?

 

Can't find anything about doing it gradually on line anyone know what would be best for them?

 

As I have just said it is like a beautiful warm day today....Spring like day or even an early Summer day.....I wonder what is coming, this isn't normal?

 

My pot of Black Tulips are growing so quickly in the warm temperatures

 

and there are flowers on my primroses...a sign of early Spring they say.

 

 

It will soon be Spring all over again.

 

Added a few more round petal flowers...

A very similar pattern to the pointed petal flower I used to make the Wizz flower with.

The Wizz pointed petal flower along side the round petal flower...

A great way to use up all the ends too.

Funny, I decided to do things differently in 2014 a couple of days back in 2013, but yesterday I received an e mail containing this Texan saying.

2014 is going to be the year of monthly inspirational tasks.

I've created an Aboriginal Art folder on PINTEREST for inspiration
 next step is to do some drawings, but I had a little play with spots as there are a lot of spots in Abroriginal Art...
