THANK YOU AND A BIG WARNING!

NEVER NEVER NEVER....do what l did this morning
first though....
Thanks for all the lovely comments and l do agree the space is so comfy and inviting and makes you want to play...AND I LOVE IT FOR THAT...all the furballs love it too
......
BUT...this morning l leapt out of bed to take another peek at my lovely new craft room, passing the bathroom, l thought l'll run the bath while l make a cuppa
and you can guess what happened can't you?

I got distracted by a very PRETTY FLOWER...half made the first one before....
all of a sudden
l remembered the running bath...

ooooops!
I've never run so fast, checking the ceiling as l pass the kitchen door, with millimetres to go
Pheeeeewwwww!

TIP FOR THE DAY
Never ever run the bath and go to your newly decorated and very inviting craft room and get distracted with pretties....will ya?
PROMISE?

Went back to them later...hope you like them?
l would love to do a wall collage of these little pretties...cover a wall space and l know just the spot too...hehe
Based loosely on the LOO ROLL FLOWERS from Michele's original idea before Christmas
Strips of pretty papers cut and rolled then layered in rounds..simple but a tad fiddly and using the hot glue gun is a pain with the strings of glue like cobwebs every where lol

What started it all off this morning and inspired me was the flowers l saw on
fabulous fabrics and gorgeous patchwork, l might do a patchwork cushion or two to mix with the new crochet sofa cushions

Have a wonderful Wednesday
hugs to all xx

CRAFT ROOM ALL PAINTED NOW THE FUN BEGINS

Thanks Phil for doing the high bits...love ya lots just the shelves to go up now and promise l won't move stuff again...until next time hehehe

we all helped..promise we did lol
roof outside needs a scrub too..shows up more now the inside is glistening white...may be tomorrow supposed to be a sunny day
The boys love it now the blinds are pulled..lots to watch
Now to the cushions...some already made some to finish and a couple new ones to make...
going to pick all the colours in the rug for the new cushions
but l must finish NooNoo's blanket first...although the weekend away has been cancelled
more stripes may be?
stripes one side flowers the other...possible
suprising what you find when you have a sort out....something l couldn't find at Christmas
The long set of spot lights l hate and it will go eventually but for now it makes a perfect place to hang the mobile of die cut multi coloured snow flakes
looks so pretty l went all gooey over it lol..Phil said "Your nuts you are!".."mmmm...yes l think you might be right!"
What do you think pretty or what and only a few scraps of thin coloured card punched and stitched together...easy but make a lovely statement
Really want to string something across the roof...but for another day
all for today but lots of fun to be had when you.....
Hugs to all xx

DAY IN BED?..HA!..IT DIDN'T HAPPEN

Thanks for all the lovely comments about my craft room....
I PROMISE l will get back to you all as soon as its all finished....can't tell you how lucky l feel to have such a fabulous space, the light in there is just wonderful for matching colours and taking photographs, love to just sit in there and drink in the light....A great feel good factor

It's now a great usable space again, the cats have found themselves a snooze space each and l want to get back in there being creative...just a teeny bit to do and it will be almost finished..all the aches seem to have gone now lol

YESTERDAY..
I'd had a fabulous sleep Sunday night so l was up early and painting the walls yesterday so it is almost decorated too
I need to recover the orange sofas, make new cushion covers too, l wanted hot pink but l have lots of blue and white that need a home too...decisions to be made
An hour should see all the walls painted white, what's left to paint is high up and Phil said he would do it for me later today
Have a terrific Tuesday everyone
Hugs x

It got worse...
then a bit better...there is a floor under that lot!...
then it got even worse..lol
then it got worse still...
then it got a bit better...
more floor and a table...wow!
then an oil cloth covering..wipe clean...something unmentionable on the table when l cleared it...sick yuk..told ya it was bad and needed sorting!
a place for my sewing machine and a place for the over locker and a chair...all plugged in a ready to go
sofa's in place cushions at the ready...

rug down everything cleaned and hoovered
and just where l'm sitting right now with 3 furballs...me in the middle and one each side of me and one in the window
The sideboard, right hand corner...draw open...is going, when we have emptied it and found a home for all the suff....open a draw and it won't close again so it's just got to go

The old chest by the side of my desk will be put in its place, that is full of fabric
Just need to finish painting the walls, get the shelves back up and only one box to sort then all finished...just like me l'm totally wasted...think l'll stay in bed tomorrow and sleep it off
LOOK...a big clean mess free table to play on!

All day it's taken to get this far...Sweet dream everyone, l'm off to bed bit of TV if l can
stay awake that is
Hope it never gets so untidy again
hugs xx

3 DAYS OF POSTS IN ONE....AND I'VE BEEN REMINISCING

Thursday was gravel day...9.30 and no phone call...l got up and James arrived...
"Did you know the gravel is at the front door?"..he says
"NO!"....along with a few other expletives was my reply
They just dumped in on the front step...no phone call no door bell nothing...long story short they came back and moved it TO WHERE IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN...and within the hour...

James and l for the next couple of hours shovelled humped and raked it into place..one ton of White/cream gravel laid...just exactly the right amount not one chip to much lol
and the sun came out to play too...a perfect day...except it nearly killed me off
Before and after back garden layout...from one square lawn to a gravel edges circle..
job well done...love it...narrow pathways all gone not standing on grass to hang my washing any more..perfect
next space to transform is outside the conservatory door...
While taking this picture as a before...l needed to angle the shot so you couldn't see the terrible winter dumping ground my work room had become
Definitely high on the list of TO-DO Jobs...big tidy up and rearrangement of the conservatory yet again!
A 'my space', a fabulous space...well it was one of the reasons we bought the house l loved the extra big conservatory and had visions of it being an open plan lounging contemporary simple space
HA!
Hence the REMINISCING!..
The Day we moved in...
A huge space, until the crafter moved in!...

Now, don't get me wrong l do love having this huge craft room to play in, l'm very very lucky l do know that, but a little bit of me longs for that huge, simple, clean, modern sunny area to chill in read a book or just dream...with NO craft stash or equipment any where
I got quite excited when Phil said l should use it for all my crafting....
but....
l do feel every now and then, a little sad, when such a wonderful space is full of paper, fabric,
wool (and boxes l still haven't unpacked) and so much mess!
look at this..a photo through the door from the dining room...l'm embarrassed to show you how bad it has got over the winter

..You'll understand l know, as fellow crafter's, it can't be tidy ALL OF THE TIME, not if you craft seriously....Can it?
Well...what with the view through the conservatory doors and all, l wanted to do a bit of shiftin' and shaking in there...AND SOONER RATHER THAN LATER TOO!

We'd been to order the bathroom (another story another day, l'm afraid the off set bath has died a death), oh! and l'd decided l wanted to tile the cooker splash back so we'd been and picked up a couple of boxes of tiles (yet another story for another day)
Only two boxes but Phil dropped them as we came through the front door..aaargh!..upon opening the boxes found we had only lost nine..relied at that, so plan of action was, l'd get up early today and tile the splash back...hahaha...mmm you know what's coming don't ya?...
after last evening l could hardly move and fell into bed and l'm still here and the craft room well.....hoping to finish in there today..say a prayer for me l'll need it l ache all over

Back to yesterday (Saturday)
Feeling a bit wiped out and in need of a 5 minute nap....l've been so tired all week
l took myself off to lie on the sofa in the MESS...with Lettuce Splodge and Brupbrup, they dont' mind the mess in fact they love to ADD to it as often as they can..love 'em!
2 HOURS LATER....l woke up and sprung into action yet again lol

poor Phil  l got him to take down all the shelving he had put up for me last June
The add the wheels we bought ages ago to a couple of units so they are easier for me to move around
ooops one of the units is collapsing under the weight
might need replacing soon l think..lol
anyway on l crack and and by 9.30 last night l had one end looking something like normal again
just don't turn round and see my desk and big cutting out table will ya?
aaaaaaaaaarrgh!...still an ugly mess?
TOO MUCH STASH?
Only started to be a problem when l unpacked old boxes of stash and equipment
l did manage to knock it into shape a couple of time though...
door end
work end..
pre shelves and extra boxes though
Then we gave the beige sofa to charity and moved the orange sofas back in here and for the winter l moved them to the radiator end...
as tidy as it gets with TOO MUCH STASH l'm afraid...until now..wish me luck l'm going to be ruthless
To be continued....

Have a super Sunday everyone
Hugs xx
