Loo Roll Advent Calendar

1st Loo Roll Advent Calendar finished, l just need to add the numbers....when l can find them!

Each has a message of hope and encouragement and a chocolate

Need to make a second one though as l have 2 boys who expect a calendar each lol

All you need is the cardboard tubes from used loo rolls or kitchen roll

scraps of wallpaper 

double sided tape 

stapler

some bought snow flakes or a punch and thin card

and circles for the numbers

HOW TO...

1. cover the loo rolls with wallpaper 

2. pinch the one end together and staple

3. take a snowflake and add a circle to the centre then stick it to the tube

4. Add a chocolate and message to each tube and pinch the other end the opposite way and staple

5. add the number to the circle

They could be hung with an additional ribbon, but l decided to put them in a large dish on the coffee table
They would also make great wrappings for small presents too

REMEMBRANCE DAY PARADE TODAY

WE REMEMBER YOU ALL

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; 
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning 
We will remember them.

Everything is coming together so well l have hibernated a bit

Not been blogging much just lately, as l've been nesting a bit, getting things back to normal again.

Home is becoming a warm and cosy space again and l have been enjoying it all and snuggling in for the winter l'm afraid hehe

New blinds have gone up, new door curtains things rearranged shelves up and storage sorted

Left over carpet has made the porch a cosier place and we moved the bed bench we made for the porch over to the opposite side and it's now getting used every time we go through the door

Every where is starting to feel so cosy, l'm struggling to make myself go out hehe

so relieved it is all coming together again in time for a wonderful Christmas

Been collecting Christmas ribbons, tinsel and lots of ideas for a fun November of crafting

Advent Calendars this afternoon l hope

The Ikea flower light has been on for days as it's so gloomy outside and reflects on the glass of the double doors and it looks like there are fairy lights every where..so pretty, l must finish the second one soon

sofas are almost cut but not sure l will get to them this side of Christmas..l'll see

Managed a bit of hooky but not really back into the swing yet

52 days and lots of Silver and white...

Do you think l could make some beaded table mats?...cos they are real expensive to buy

May be if l did just a border as l have got silver charger plates already

and you wouldn't see all of them...to ponder on l think

MAKING A COLLECTION OF CHRISTMAS GOODIES 

Ready to craft my way to Christmas

I wanted a split quilling tool yesterday and made my way to The Range..BIG MISTAKE

Found the quilling tool, it makes, making the paper roses a whole lot quicker, but l found lots of lovely bits and pieces for the Christmas dinner table

Nothing very expensive but silver chargers, jewelled napkin rings and name holders

all that l need to make complete our Christmas cards

Going to make all my envelopes from magazine pages...bit of recycling always a good idea, a pack of labels and use the printer to print the names and addresses on them and stick them on the envelopes..works for me...always a job l've mean't to do, this year fingers crossed

GIRLY SPA TRIP

Off to a Spar Hotel with two of my best friends from work tomorrow

 We decided weeks ago to give ourselves a treat before Christmas, booking a couple of days of sheer bliss and pampering at a hotel just over an hour away.

Swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi , steam room, a shared room for the three of us to chat into the night with a bottle of something hehe....

 A 4 course dinner, breakfast in our room on Friday, a mud massage thing.......

WE WERE TOLD IT'S FUN WHEN YOU ARE WITH FRIENDS!

A pedicure, manicure, and lunch while we enjoy all the fuss lol

And a visit to Ikea for lunch before we check in at 2...we are all so looking forward to the break
