How to Make the Swirl roses

SWIRL ROSES
cut squares out of thin card
These roses have been made from squares of approximately 2.5-3"
cut circles and then a spiral from the circle
Start from the outside and with a skewer to helps to start the roll and keep it tight
remove the skewer and hand roll between your fingers after about an inch of centre roll
the inside edge need to be tightly rolled
and the outside edge loosely rolled
keep rolling with finger and thumb, top and bottom so it stays in line
following the curve of the spiral
when it is all rolled let go and it will unravel a little
glue the end down
cut and glue a small circle
and press the swirl rose onto it firmly
add a leaves to each bud if you want
push a skewer in the circle as a stem if you want to make a vase of them

make lots and let me know what you do with them...would love to see your projects
gently run your nail over a couple of the high spots to stretch the card, bend the edges over a little...just like the outer petals of a real rose

Tomorrow l'll do the Flower Light..21 out of 36 finished

Hope you enjoyed your Sunday
Hugs to all xx
