unfortunately the ink ran out this morning so can't show you a finished one but it will be completed by tonight

FABULOUS COUPLE OF DAYS WITH FRIENDS

And lots of SALE looking and a bit of shopping...

Bought a new super king quilt for our bed a couple of months back so all the bed linen needed changing and l have been waiting for the sales to get another couple of quilt covers....

This one was half price a real bargain

couple of new pillows too...so fluffed up and squishy they're really comfy

Found a garlic vase larger but similar to some as seen in my new Tricia Guild book hiding in the sale items in TK Max

and l'm keeping my eye on this fabulous mirror...

quite large about 3' across but l love it

2nd hotter wash felted a lot better

just hanging around....

for a facial....

and hair...colour looked fabulous but hair...mmmmm not so sure

but love the flower....

at least Buttons has a name and a face lol

A WHITE CHRISTMAS FOR SURE

Anything from 4" to 6" out there and it's snowing again...

Noo Noo is disappearing slowly...and can you spot our car? lol

and we are running out of chocolate biscuits....wellies and a trip to the shop should be fun!

just waiting for the washing machine to felt another doll for me....no idea what will come out

went in as a 21" crochet doll...who knows what will appear

before...

even added a few features...

forgot the nose and ears so after the 1st wash which didn't felt as much as l wanted

l added them and popped it back in the washer on a higher temperature for a longer time

so who knows what it will eventually look like

WIP..CROCHET CALENDAR 2011

Been working on a crochet calendar for 2011....using photographs of my crochet from 2010

.....not always the exact month of crochet and needs some tweaking yet 

but fun to make on Picasa a free down load

AN IDEA HAS TAKEN ON A LIFE OF IT'S OWN

No idea why my head is full of dolls again and has been for a couple of months really

An itch that needs scratching and couldn't wait until 2011!..lol

l used to make life size dolls many years back....

Marigold...sitting in a child's antique rocking chair

Someone has asked me for this pattern sorry name escapes me right now....l still haven't come across it in all the boxes....Sorry.....

but who knows where l'm going with these dolly treats l might make the pattern all over again in 2011

But for now l'm going back to my roots if you like and remembering both my Grandma and my Mum and me dressing dollies as a very small child

this one will be about 15" l guess at the moment as the legs are still to do

I just started at the top of the head with a 3mm hook and DK in as fleshy a colour as l had 

made a ball by increasing until l thought it was about right (3 rows of increase) then decreased when l had a size l liked and stuffed it as it grew....

I wanted an all in one with as little sewing together as possible

and it just grew

MOUSE..in the Picture?...

...no we haven't got mice hehe well only furry squeaky ones filed with cat nip...trying to stop 

DEVIL CAT 

from getting into so much trouble with a bit of distraction and playtime

may be l should crochet mice too...although all he seems to want to do is tear my plant to shreds and play with the long leaves...
