12 PETALS
Round 3: 2dc in each stitch with 4ch between each set of 4dc will make 12 petals,
Round 4: attach yarn between the pairs of dc, 9dc in each loop, sl st between the 4 dc, to anchor 'petal', repeat 7 more times, sl st to finish. [12 petals]

6 PETALS
ROUND 3: 1dc in each stitch with 4 ch between sets of 4 sts will make 6 petals

8 PETAL FLOWER
Joined side by side you will need a SECOND SMALLER MOTIF to fill the large holes...pattern below
finger wrap of 8 wraps
Round 1: 16dc into circle sl st to finish.
Round 2: SC in each st. sl st to finish.
Round 3: 2dc in first two sts, ch4 repeat 7 more times. sl st to finish.
Round 4: attach yarn between the pairs of dc, 9dc in each loop, sl st between the 4 dc, to anchor 'petal', repeat 7 more times, sl st to finish. [8 petals]
INFILL PATTERN
FINGER WRAP of 8 wraps
ROUND 1: ch2, 15dc into circle, sl st, to complete. pull tight [16dc]
ROUND 2: Att. second col. or continue with same col. ch2 [counts as first dc] dc into same st, 2dc in next st, ch1, sl st into first sp to join, ch1, 2dc in next 2 sts, repeat for each section until joined in the hole created by joining 4 flowers together [8 x 4dc sides]
