Sorry all the places went quite quickly but I will be here tomorrow doing a workshop with Rachel in her new wool shop.
Can't wait to meet you all.

A New book.....SO EXCITED......
I went shopping for a few colours.

And some fantastic news GMC have asked me to do a follow up book to Granny squares because it has done so well.
So I have been up since 2.30 starting to write the new book

New Stool Cover...and storage box wip

Decided I needed a new stool cover and a bright pink one and a new cover for the storage box another blend of 3 DK and a 9mm hook.

The stool cover was made in about an hour and a half but the storage box will take another couple of hours.

Thinking of painting the legs of the stool and making a circular version for the
circular stools too...must finish the Fuschia storage box first though.

Stylecraft colours and a 9mm hook

an advanced stitch, fabulous once you have worked it out not for the faint hearted.

Taken from the middle of an 1800's design

Inspired by a picture from the 1970'S...

Mostly i love the secondary lace pattern that appears as you join the motif together....
A simple but really pretty design, from the 1970's, I hate to say it but a period that is now described as Vintage....how did that happen?
I was in my 20's in the 70's, lol

New Storage boxes, New Bed Linen and a huge sort out.....

Still managing to keep up with the...'doing things differently in 2014'.

Stuff seemed to be piling up in the little bedroom.....including the Christmas decorations that hadn't been put away....oooops!

So off to Dunelm to find some storage boxes for the Christmas dec's, something that will fit on top of the wardrobe, be easy to get at, look good and be a reasonable price.

Plastic was the best price, but not so good to look at, all the pretty carboard or wicker were going to costly, but I found these aqua plastic boxes for £3.99 each.

Perfect on top of the wardrobe, certainly better than the old broken cardboard box the dec's were in before, for sure and they blend in with the decor in the little bedroom too.

New Bed Linen for our bedroom..but do I paint the wall behind the bed?

Mint Macaroon..is the same colour but does it need to be a paler shade of the same colour?

Sorry the pictures are so bad the light at the moment is awful..roll on Spring and an end to these grey days.

A HUGE CLEAR OUT
All my old clothes............GONE!
I've been collecting them ever since we moved house 4 years ago.
I finally did the deed....and 6 big blue Ikea bags went out the door yesterday.
Part of me still feels like I am going to miss something in a month or two the other half
feels great for FINALLY removing the clutter..lol
