Fruit Salad Wave Scarf or Blanket

Space Dyed yarn, scrap yarn, each row a different shade of one colour, in DK or Aran weight yarn, lots of options to try.

A fun pattern that can be made into a scarf, a wrap or a blanket just increase the number of rows you do

FRUIT SALAD WAVE SCARF ORIGINAL BASIC PATTERN

repeat to end, finish with 1dtr [ttr], in last 3sts. (129sts)

continue to repeat rows 3 and 4 to complete the length you require.

I'm often asked about the little circle or flower i start my work with...yes it a me thing makes the piece mine if you like, but it does serve a purpose too....no end to deal with.

And on a long base chain, occasionally I miss count the 200+ Stitches often a complaint I here......
with these extra few chain stitches to the flower I have a few stitches to play with...solves another possible problem.

100g ball has made a piece 8.5" x 32" perfect for a neck wrap.

A baby blanket would probably need 4 maybe 5 balls
to make approx. 32" x 35"

BLUEBERRY version is in Aran weight Caron and a 5mm hook each row a different shade of blue

Add a row of flowers for decoration

SCRAP YARN VERSION
I am finding some little Gems in the tidy up...and...managing to finish them too found this half made scarf in the Fruit Salad Wave.
Made from left overs in 'Berry' Fruit Salad colours.

Finished the scrap yarn version and its over 6' long and approx. 6" wide, could always be wider but more than enough for a scarf.

Start and finish each row with a circle and 5-20ch sts, depending on how long you want your circle/flower dangles.

Might add a second round to the circles yet...

BLACK AND STONE COLOUR WAY WITH FLOWER START AND FINISH
