black yarn, ch3 and sl st to complete circle or use a magic circle

Round 1: cont. in black yarn, ch2 counts as first dc, 12 dc into the circle, sl st to complete round.[12dc]

Round 2: Att. new petal col. start in any st, 2dc in first st, chain 5, 2dc in the next st, repeat until you have 6 loops, sl st to complete round. [12 pairs dc, 6x ch5 loops]

NOTE: if there is no colour change than sl st into first st and you will be in the right place to continue on with round 3

Round 3: Att. second petal col. between the two sets of dc, 3dc, 3ch, 3dc, 3ch, 3dc, ch3, 3dc, in the first loop, sl st, between the 2 sets of dc, 

repeat until you have all 6 petals completed, sl st completes. [6 petal flower]
