PANTONE COLOURS FOR SPRING/SUMMER 2019

Lots of reds, orange, Turmeric, gold, tan and olive green shades in the new collection
Dark wall, light wood table with black legs, lots of light from windows, leather chairbacks, Turkish rug
Might need to paint the wall a darker blue to go with the new tan chairs i've ordered, not quite like these but a similar colour and a suede look to them more like these..
Shop Pony Leather Chair. Iconic Breuer-style, nickel-plated base gives a bit of bounce to a comfy continuous seat suited up in perfectly distressed saddle leather. Pony Leather Chair is a CB2 exclusive.
Love this picture from House and Garden...its actually black but has a bit of a navy blue look to me

Maybe make some crochet baskets like this..
Indigo woven baskets
with Tan handles...for all the wool

already have a navy and aran blanket..

Love these blue plates from Debenhams

or this set from Argos..

Love to shop...

NEW KITCHEN FIT DAY....

Not bad progress with the kitchen fit yesterday, one unit we found wasn't big enough, even though the plan said it was correct.....ooops!
So a new unit was ordered and will arrive Thursday, righthand side of the cooker hood, gaining a bit more storage as it was a 300 that needed replacing with a 400.
Some end panel we decided wouldn't work on the island.... £300 saving there then, fabulous.
All carcasses were made up in 2 days, well done Phil.....still a huge number of unopened boxes thought.
Yesterday Andy fitted almost all units and 2 doors on....what a fabulous piece of equipment he used too a Laser spirit level, it turns corners, does up and down at the same time, amazing thing.
All the wonderful fancy pull down and pull out guts to add today, cant wait.
All the easy release and soft close doors, door handles are first on the list i think today....these will make the biggest impact i feel.
Gas pipe was moved by the gas fitter so the cooker can be relocated in its new position.
Then Andy can work his magic on the fabulous chunks of wood and we will have a beautiful new wooden worktop and sunken sink and the old tap will be refitted...lots and lots to do.
Then my input and I can get all the stuff that is all over the house at the moment can be put back in the wonderful new cupboards. Then we can make the Island...cant see it all happening today can you?

BUT...the mess every where i cant bleileve, on the stairs, in the lounge and outside too.....let's hope by the end of today it will look at least a lot tidier

wish us luck and i do hope it all looks a lot better by tonight ?

We have the beginnings of a floor....

Patch up of the kitchen floor after wall removal
Looking great this morning Andy!
and
The Oak Larder Unit arrived yesterday from Cotswold Company a big beastie.

It holds an enormous amount of stuff too. love it lots. I've cleared away a lot of stuff that's cluttering up the house at the moment.

for the opposite wall won't arrive until 24th May so it gives us plenty of time to complete all the little jobs, like the new floor....

First choice would have been to replace the same tiles but we tracked down the company in Spain but no answer so went for a quick option found a similar but lighter colour tile and some mosaics that will fill the space like a rug in the middle of the floor, Andy is doing a fabulous job so far back today to finish off and do c couple of other jobs too
Thanks Andy
UPDATE: Saturday saw a fabulous floor finished with the skirtings completed too....

KITCHEN UPDATE, Then off to Poppy's Holfirth for a relaxing 3 day Crochet Retreat

Starting to see an end to the dust and piles of furniture and boxes every where...plastering should be completed today second fix for the lights etc and the en suite put back to gather on Friday, while I am enjoying a fab crochet retreat at

....cya soon cant wait.

en suite floor up...
rotten joist....to be removed

room with a view! lol

new joists in...

first plaster boards going up yesterday after the Electrician sorted the wiring and solved the the fault...more wires left floating in the sockets just cut off and left touching the metal box and causing another fault...who ever wired this house needs shooting

ceiling all plaster boarded...just the steel beam to cover with special fireproof plasterboard this morning

most of the bonding and feathering in of miss matched walls done from the old part of the house to the other side of the wall that was removed a step in it about 2cm!

new wall where the chrome radiator/ towel rail will go
wall for the TV and side board will go
new cooker position...although Phil's not happy with drilling a hole for the extractor right under the extractor canopy..so we might be having a new one that doesn't need a hole he tells me this morning!..some carbon thing that eats smells? no idea about that one lol

Hi Gloss or Shaker Style?
Still can't decide between ultra modern White, hi gloss units with clean sleek lines or
White Shaker style? White work tops for definite and the island will be charcoal grey like the wall in the lounge with a wooden top.

Teal sofa so the colours for the room will be teal, blue and aqua, with some lime green maybe.....but shades of blue need to use the sofa we have.

Made a folder of pictures for inspiration....
