NEW MAGAZINES and G STAR/STRIPE

Looking for something new to read this weekend i came across a number of new magazine that i had never seen before. Something more than most women's mags i read and discard after one look.

 Plenty to read in these 2 beautiful to look at mags.....mindful ways to live your life...all about wellbeing, mindfulness (such a lovely word), creativity and escaping, we could all do with an escape every now and then. 

I bought the one because of the wonderful illustrations and art work, there are pages of beautiful prints i might be framing and hanging on the wall by Becki Clark the Art editor on the magazine. Becky hold workshops, might be signing up for one later in the year BECKI CLARK WORKSHOPS link for more info

Both are full of interesting articles, crafty inspiration, short stories and no rubbish like you get in most women's mags

I Have my Guest bedroom back again...

James and his wonderful gf Bethany moved into there fabulous 3 storey home on Friday. 

We all pitched in and helped them out, not allowed to share pictures sorry but its going to be a fabulous home for them once they have finished making it theirs.

......but now i have my guest bedroom back I'm redecorating and i've gone all girlie and using a soft vintage pink with the black and white, but delicate wallpaper that is already up didn't want to actually add new wallpaper for now.
It used to look like this... 

I've taken the blind down and let the light in and added a few pink bits and pieces to make it look pretty, a man free zone for now.

It get the sun in the afternoon a very warm and cosy room later in the day and now its gone all pretty in pink, the new motif s one for the Pattern club, a blanket in the making i think.

IN THE PINK

New long runner for the end of the bed or as a wrap...lots of colour experiments happening right now with old motifs for a wrap or bed end runner, which to use is the problem!

GOING TO SEE JAMES' NEW CAR!!

Off to an equipment supply shop with James and his new car today....he says he feels real grown up in this one hehe......bigger and better than he has ever owned before and it's black too....love black cars...photos to come

Been working on a new project took me all day yesterday but eventually l was a happy bunny with the shape!!

Still lots to do on it and been cutting more stars and snowflakes in brights/pastels to hang in all the windows

IT SNOWED IN THE BEDROOM!! LOL

They spin and twinkle in the heat from the radiator..a real pretty effect

Started rain as l was taking the photos...sparkly rain

some large some small die cuts and punched stars and snow flakes

May add some more but sewn together all of the shiny and white ones l'd cut so far

STUDIO SHED......lovely and warm on this freezing day

Ventured into my studio shed at the bottom of the garden to sew the stars and snowflakes together

Freezing here right now but the plug in oil fired radiator did the trick and l put on my boots and fleece and tried it out.....lovely and warm so warm l had to take off the fleece for a while.......impressed with the radiator

SPACE FOR EVERYONE AND SNOW ON THE WAY!

Splodge always as close to me as poss....but Mr T and Brupbrup side by side and yesterday they were at each others throats!!!!...boys hey?

this new bed is huge...good job l say they all want to sleep my side though!

Still need to sort the bedside storage and the bedhead shelving so no pics yet..and it's sooooo high l need a ladder hehehe
