NEW YARNS...How to create a range of your own colours

Unused yarn?..... do you have a yarn you loved, bought and then didn't know what to make with it? 

Several balls of this multi coloured yarn is waiting for just the right project, but nothing i tried worked for me. 

 Decided to mix it with several pain dk yarns to give me several colours of the same yarn, far more useable now. Some work better than others but from one yarn i now have several different colours of a rainbow tweed yarn to play with...another Rule of 12 maybe but with another join method maybe, for now i just making lots of 3 round, Rule of 12 circles and thinking about the join to come..

I have made 64 circles out of 2 balls of the150g Aran weight yarn from Pound Stretcher

Mixing it with 400g Emu Aran 25% wool as the back ground colour..

 I managed to complete all 64 circles yesterday and 2 Rows joined so far, i worked like a mad person yesterday so i didn't need to think too much about how sad I felt,

 a very sad day yesterday.....

 RIP Lettuce, you will be so missed XX

was thinking about James all morning even rang him at about 12.45.....ooops an over enthusiastic Mummy!!! hehe..he was eating his dinner and asked if l could at least wait till he got back!

So a bit of work and play and James?...... well he didn't even ring to say he got back so now l just have to wait till he rings me...BUM!!

Not sure if the sock inspired creation will be a very unusual hat or another drawstring bag yet!!

LOST DAY..BOO HOO

Lettuce last June....Not getting the Love or the food she needs at home so comes to visit when my boys are not paying attention...lots thinner now!! Poor love l forgive ya for yesteday Lettuce

Well we got a lot done but been a week of minor injuries..covered in bruises and scrapes but yesterday trying to rescue Lettuce from my boys...he pops in regularly for room and board but my boys guard their home like tigers

So the latest injury sent me to the minor injuries nurse....pain anti-biotics and a lost day on the shed.....was too painful to do anything my right arm hurt like crazy...anti-biotics are beginning to kick in so a tad better this morning but can't believe how much its swollen and hurts for tiny holes!

Poor Lettuce was soooo frightened so l forgive ya

LETTUCE AND VW SHOW COLLAGES

Lettuce is our visiting furball...often find lettuce asleep on the sofa in the mornings and he creeps in for a meal of leftovers when the boys are not around lol
