DAY 8, 9 &10 ADVENT CALENDAR

A little bit poorly over the weekend with a chesty cough, couple of days of Christmas Films and lots of sleep, flu plus and hot drinks. Still a bit full of cold but lots better this morning.

So. I managed to complete the Slipper wrap motifs, 

ALL 49 of them that makes it 

approx. 80" [203cm] long x 16" [41cm] wide

I hope to complete a small border this afternoon and share some finished pictures tomorrow of me wearing it, to the Knit andNatter i go too once a month .

Love it already going to be really snuggly folded in half and wraps around my neck with both ends to the front.

Very simple last row of sc, and ch3 loops to join as you go in every second st.

I'll add the border pattern tomorrow 

DAY 5 AND DAY 6+ CROCHET ADVENT CALENDAR

I'm afraid day 5 wasn't a good crochet day, I managed a few more motif's for the Slipper blanket 
[slipper pattern from my 2nd book, Granny Squares and Shapes]

appointments and sleep got in the way...caught napping in the afternoon, lol

Having found a bag of motifs the same as the front motif from the slippers, i though joining them together a good Advent project

probably more joined together with the sc, ch3 loop, miss a st, sc, repeat, join as you go, than needed now so for the next couple of days i will continue to complete this blanket

only changes are to the 4th round and i've taken out a stitch or two so the top and bottom points are just 2tr, ch3, 2tr.

Aiming for 11 rows x 9 then a border and I'm using 9 colours

1: Dusky pink
2: Burnt orange
3: Rust
4: Yellow
5: Aqua
6: Mid Blue shade
7: Rose pink almost red shade
8: Stone
9: Tan

What a find, when I wrote book 2, I wanted it to go in a Boho direction but the publisher had a different idea, so several samples were boxed and forgotten about. 

Remember this pattern in book 2, Page 56 of

Well a lovely surprise in the samples box for the books, I found a blanket sample and several diamonds not join. 

It's using the front diamond pattern of the slippers only...

So today's advent is to join as many of the diamonds i found into the blanket i guess, i wanted to make.
