The Carousel Cal info...

Carousel CAL for Stylecraft, as a Prisma art creation. 

These artist impressions from apps/and filters give you an idea of what the Carousel could look like in one or two different colour ways, but please be warned....

Although i think There are going to be some great colour options made with the Carousel pattern, in some interesting creations, from what all the group members are saying...some unique Carousel blankets to come i'm sure, but.....

Computer generated colour packs....all my graphics are from original crochet pieces and i've played around with the apps and filters and it is really hard to match the yarn to a picture they won't look quite like the pictures so i hope no one is disappointed with a pack like this

the 4 pictures above are the original crochet motif in purples the collage below is the app/filter version of the same piece...so you can see the variation in colouring and its really is hard to match yarn to one of these artist impression pictures

the bottom 3 pictures are the original crochet version...i just don't want anyone disappointed

TENSION SAMPLE?

I've been asked about TENSION several times so here is the tension you need for the Carousel 

4mm hook

US terms, 20dc = 4.75"/12cms and 2 rows of dc = 1"/2.5cms.

Hope this helps those who have loose or tight stitches

Over the last couple of weeks several Carousel groupies have decided they want to do their own thing and have picked their own colours...to fit into their rooms, for a new baby, just wanted something different....Love them all x

PART 1: 6 colours in order of use for the first part of the Carousel cal:

Special:Lipstick, Mustard, Aster, Spice, Turquoise, Citron, Mustard, Spice, Aster, Lipstick.

NEW EXTRA SPECIAL PACK: 
Option 1:Extra Special marl yarn in Viola/peony
Carnation, Sandstone,Viola, Greengage, Waterfall, Charcoal, Peony, Carnation, Viola, Charcoal.

Option 2: Extra Special marl yarn in Greengage/waterfall

Charcoal, Atlantis, Greengage, Sandstone, Waterfall, Charcoal, Atlantis, Waterfall, Sandstone, Viola

For those wanting a closer match in Special to the Batik colours  try these options:

BATIK/SPECIAL alternatives as close as can be matched and I Know there are lots more options that you all plan to experiment with

CAROUSEL PASTELS

The Pastel version of the Carousel has been very popular, pretty and fits in with lots of home decor i guess, and perfect for that new baby too...i did 3 part 1 variations.......

LAVENDER
PASTEL LAVENDER SPECIAL DK:
Parma Violet, Stone, Cream, Duck Egg, Pistachio, Stone, Parchment, Parma Violet, Parma Violet, Lavender.

BLUE
PASTEL CLOUD BLUE SPECIAL DK: 
Cloud Blue, Camel, Cream, Pistachio, Duck Egg, Sherbet, Cloud Blue, Parchment, Parchment, Duck Egg. 

 PINK. 
PASTEL PINK SPECIAL DK: Clematis, Stone, Cream, Pistachio, Duck Egg, Stone, Camel, Pale Rose, Clematis.

I'm sure you will also create lots more variation using this selection of colours

As part 2 of the Carousel was released yesterday, hope you are all still enjoying the CAL?

i decided to make a complete pastel Carousel along side you all, along with the new Extra Special version.....life got in the way yesterday afternoon and evening but i did manage to complete the 16 pastel bands needed for a pastel Carousel. 17 colours altogether  

I've not joined them together yet I'm using the parchment to join but these are the 17 colours and they will work with all 3 of the pastel centres shown above.
