CUSHION CAL: Part 3 TRIANGLE INFILLS

Thank you all, for the fabulous response to this Mini Cal...
The final in-fill round today then we can join the cushion together.
BLANKET: if you are making the 9 block blanket then these triangle infills are a different colour on each block...
I used rose, gold, parchment, sea breeze, denim, spice, sage, meadow, raspberry
on the 9 blocks

Please be aware that it does curl a little and will need blocking to see the effect,
or wait until complete and fill it with a nice fluffy cushion pad

PART 3 INFILL TRIANGLE...ONE COLOUR
NOTES: another really simple 2 round motif, join as you go into the point of the diamond/spear shape and the point of the shell stitch.
Again tRy before doing the join as you go for beginners.

NOTE: THIS TRIANGLE MOTIF SHOULD BE IN ONE COLOUR ONLY
so that the 'petals' of part 2 stand out, not as the multi coloured how to pictures look

The usual finger wrap of 5/6wraps

ROUND 1: 12sc [12dc], into circle

ROUND 2: ch6, 1tr [1dtr], into same st,

1dc [1r], into next 3 sts, 1tr [1dtr], ch3, 1tr [1dtr], into next st,

1dc [1tr], into next 3 sts, 1tr [1dtr], ch3, 1tr [1dtr],
into next st, finish with 1 dc [1tr], into last 3 sts, sl st into ch6 loop.

NOTE: replace the middle ch st with a sl st to join to the cushion, so for the first point...
ch4 , replace the 5th ch with a sl st, to join, then ch1, 1tr to complete first corner.

The triangle sits between each diamond/spear shape of part 2.

sl st into the ch3 point of the diamond and the point of the shell st and the second point of the diamond

Don't forget to use the code SP17

Made in Aran it should be at least 16" 40.5cm across

PART4
will be the Button band, joining together of the two cushion pieces together and the opening.
PART 5
A second easy peasy option for a one circular motif style cushion

  3. Hi Sue, I am not sure how to connect the single colour part 3 inlays...If you start with the chain 6 and treble, where do you connect it to the other inlays...I get how to connect the other 2 sides, just not the chain 6/treble end. Thanks so much!
