CAR BOOT PLAYTIME AND LUNCH AT IKEA

Weeeeeeeeeeel l had to get through the car boot didn't l? lol
so l  took the tub of small balls and a ball of white!! lol
now what to make with them all?

Colours were inspired by a small quilt l found in the move
needs a black round and then a white to join together but ran out of the white and don't have black in Merino...oops another urgent purchase at ColourMart l think!!

CAR BOOT
we were a bit late but sold about half of the stuff and made about £130 so went a few more miles and had a late lunch at Ikea and bought the shelves l need to get the craft room sorted out!!

TOMORROW..MORE WALL PAINTING
So painting in the morning ready for the shelves and Noo Noo cleaning in the afternoon for Phil and James while l get the craft room something like!

SHELL ISLAND WEEKEND.....for James
Phil has put James on the insurance and is allowing him to have the camper for the weekend
All his friends think it's real cool lol

CAR BOOT THIS MORNING...SELL SOME OF THE ATTIC FINDS!!

Quick post should be on our way to a car boot.... ugh!
Did all the garage sorting yesterday in a grump only way l could get it done but then
Phil did something stupid so stupid l can't tell you all about it
but......got the mess sorted even quicker!!!
bloody men hey!
so eventually l just left him to fill the camper with all the CB Boxes!!

So......CAR BOOT this morning another favourite job........l think not
love looking but hate the selling at one
WISH ME LUCK.....
l'll like the cash at the end and the unwanted stuff gone though!

WAS ONLY ALLOWED TO PLAY HOOKY 'TILL LUNCH TIME

One of my old drawstring bags in same colours goes well with the cushion and blanket lol
NEW IDEA....
Want to make a couple more things now with the AF's minus the last round

Great job done this afternoon we cleared the lower floor of the Garage and my car is actually inside
wow!!
Ache all over though and back with the hooky stuff and 'Lewis' on TV
Decision made on the Jacket too.....
new yarn though and l think it's Cash/Merino need to check with ColourMart 1st
did the sample in it so fingers crossed l can get more!
Going to make it all cream with just a little pastel colour on it some where but not sure yet exactly where!!

NOT A HAPPY HOOKER!!!

lots done until l fell asleep mid stitch!!..hehehe
mmmmmmmmmmm not so happy though with the days colour combinations added the gorgeous cornflower blue and a lovely lilac....2 wonderful colours but as a colour combo in the hex's l don't like them.....not a waste but l can't help thinking it feels a bit like it!!
Should have added the soft orange like l said then it would have been ok l'm sure
Oh well back to the drawing board

Oh! and it started as a cushion then went to the neck border of a jacket then to the start of a blanket but with the middle hex left out so it fits over my head was trying to think of a way of filling it so it could be used as a poncho or a blanket!!
May be small AF's tied together some how so they make a sort of collar when being used as a poncho
Watch this space going to try that idea this morning
and will be adding soft orange and more lime to change the colour combo too!
see....too much blue needs the soft orange to warm the combo up a bit....l think!!
IF THAT DOESN'T WORK THEN ALL THE CREAM WILL JUST HAVE TO BE RIPPED AND THE BLUE HEX'S SPREAD ABOUT THE BALNKET........UGH!!

Sewing Serenity blog post.... thanks SS for a blog about Philip Jacobs Delphiniums fabulous fabric
Google him and found lots more..stunning fabrics
PHILIP JACOBS FABRICS at the Cotton patch
if you want to ogle!!! hehe
works for me and no orange in sight!!

Slight panic last night hehe...Tracy rang to ask if she could move in today and not next Tuesday!!

Now l'm the best procrastinator you will find so hadn't printed the paper work off my laptop until the last minute.....
big BIG mistake..couldn't find it..panic mode set in

No wonder it was on Phil's laptop!!
Late but panic over rushed over met Tracy and her BF Jason....who is going to help her move in this morning....she has got even more excited than l get!! hehehe

PHOTOGRAPHS OF OUR EMPTY HOUSE MADE ME A BIT SAD!

Painting all finished totally empty now just a new sink in bathroom to finish off and Tracy can't wait to move in

looking at the empty home we loved and the garden l designed and we created during our 1st Easter made me a bit sad
The living Christmas tree we bought for our 1st Christmas only a couple of feet tall was planted in the garden and is now about 5-6feet tall and sprouting right now...oh help now l'm crying!!
Don't get me wrong I love Bakewell just having a moment!!!

Tracy brought all her friends and gave them a tour of her new home...she was so excited and hadn't been able to sleep the night before she said..think it will be in good hands!

VISIT TO COLOURMART
To stock up on the 100% Merino for the AF/HEX jacket.....these are the colours l will be using with the cream as the base colour
Have lots of ideas for this jacket...in fact may be a couple of jackets out of this project.......
Now have a 2nd SLEEVE OPTION....and a totally different look to the jacket emerges!!
Can't wait to get going on this jacket again but another trip back to the old house..thought it would be finished yesterday and mostly it is but the new sink didn't go in as easily as we hoped and we need to go finish it off today..poor Phil was tearing his hair out really had had enough last night we didn't get back until after 7 totally exhausted and wiped out.....please let today be the end of the phaffing around!!!!
THANKS
Thanks Elizabeth Cat for the invite to post AF Jacket on the AF Flickr group
Thanks all for the AF Jacket follow.....hope you all like the end jacket! hehe

MORNING DEVELOPMENTS TO COLOURMART COMPETITION JACKET

Slight miss understanding l think...

The jacket will be an original design using the basic baby hex jacket as a starting point along with the AF design BUT it will be an adult size...in fact it's for me!! hehe
and I'm blogging the design process for those who are interested in how a new design can develop and the many changes and options that happen

THIS MORNINGS DEVELOPMENTS....

Started the design again with a larger hook..wanted it slightly softer and less bulky and some slight adjustments to the pattern..
Very happy with the pattern now and it's working for me in the base colour of cream

BUT..
The body piece l made opened out made a wonderful cuff so another development and another option
MANY MORE WILL HAPPEN I'M SURE BEFORE THE FINAL JACKET DESIGN IS FINISHED
This is the part of designing l adore...

Thanks for all the wonderful comments
sorry l haven't time to comment on individual blogs this morning back to the old house to throw some paint around and make it ready for who ever moves in soon!!

Another sun filled day by the looks of it

FABULOUS WEEKEND THANKS K

Had an idea..dangerous you may say but it worked l think.....this picture is all paper prints!!
copied the photo of the original cushion printed it out a few times and then laid it out and took another photograph!!....hey presto a blanket lol
All be it a paper one for now but a great way to see what a large crochet would look like with out spending hours and hours crocheting took me about an hour to do this!!

Changed the colour slightly on this photograph and did a collage of the cushion and possible blanket to come
on this one!!
I love Picasa 3

Spent an hour or so before K woke up this morning sorting out a possible pattern for the AF competition Jacket
HARD TO BELIEVE THIS WILL EVENTUALLY TURN INTO HALF A JACKET!!
But it will taken from a baby pattern l found HERE at Cosy's Corner

Adapted it to the African Flower design to start with......
Then l had to stop 'cos K woke up and we needed to go have some fun!!!
Show you more tomorrow

WISTERIA WELCOME AT BAKEWELL.....CYA SOON K

Needs paintings and shelves on the wall but not worth adding until it's been decorated and a new light but hope it's a comfy as the old bedroom K...Cya soon...weekend of laughter and fun

WISTERIA'S WELCOME...
All the plants l put in are doing well no losses with the May Frost and one has changed colour!!!!
yellow to a gorgeous soft burnt orange....

AND....
I knew the move would turn up a few forgotten or lost things....
my beloved wool winder lost in the dust it was but looks and works like new still..

Did  my 1st sample for weight last night ready for the competition  jacket but colour wanted to make the same as the bedroom cushion but  don't want to look like part of the furnishings hehehehe
so spending some time rethinking the colours slightly
