Mr T UPDATE

Was a bit too much for Mr T yesterday l think....not the peace and quite he was supposed to have but we had a very good night on the sofa together again last night

He seems to have more of a raspy throat this morning and doesn't sound too good when he coughs but breathing ok and eating sleeping and doing well  found a couple of his tablets spit out though...ooops!

He wants to go out side but being confined to the lounge except for wee's etc..
still sleeping a lot and if l stay put he does too so the lounge looks a bit of a mess at the moment as l've surrounded myself with books wool and cups of tea with the fan on to keep us cool
Thanks again for all the kind wishes A OK at the moment
next app. is on Friday

FLOWERS FROM CROCHET BOUQUET BOOK by Suzann Thompson

Had the book a while love all the different flower in it but not really tried any of the patterns Kathryn loved the poppy so had a go in the afternoon took me ages to work out the pattern and it's still not quite right but made a 6/7" flower thats real pretty then tried the pansy..that was far easier to do lol

Hope you like them too....thought the pansy would look great on my new croc's?
Kathryn wants a pansy covered tea cosy for her caravan!!!
the poppy was really hard to work out and not quite right yet and l made it rather large too about 6/7" diameter!...hehehe

The poppy wasn't an easy pattern...needs work!

Had a play with the new fine random felting yarn and a few plastic bangles l found lying around.....want more to play with now so a trip to the charity shops may be on for today

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
for all the Birthday wished l had a wonderful wonderful day.......quite perfect in  fact

HOWS THAT FOR A SCAR

But at least all his insides are in the right place now!....Just struggling to keep him still some times
got this pic the one time he managed to lie on his side

He's eaten well today managed a couple of big wee's although it seemed a bit of a problem for him he wants to go through the cat flap every time and  l've locked that!!

Sat with him all day lots of tickles and strokes when he wanted them but left him to sleep as much as possible.....followed him every time he moved though lol

He's dozed most of the day don't think he can get comfy really
looks like he is sleeping now but if l move he opens his eyes

Managed a bit of hooky stuff today although l fell asleep earlier until Splodge woke me up decided l'd slept long enough and where was his supper?
So l didn't get as much done as l wanted
collage of what l did get done .....
James and Bim are popping in after the match to collect her bag and see Mr T
and l wanted an early night with the alarm going off at 4.30!!!

No wonder l fall asleep in the afternoons hehe

Mr T says a big thanks for all the nice thoughts xx

MR T IS HOME

Collected him at 11 this morning all he wanted 1st was to go out side but had to make do with the litter tray and boy did he have fun rolled in it like a mad thing hehe then fell over the edge on his back..lol so much for keeping him quite!!!!
He struggled to have a wee though so for 10 minutes he just lay in the box...good job it was all clean and sterilized oh and the next thing he wanted was to take off the plaster covering the drip scar
Crumbs he's back to his old self
this is going to be hard work for a week
right now he has found himself one of his favourite spots under his chair in the lounge
He's has had a small meal of tuna and settled down to sleep for now
and l'm going to do the same
already fallen asleep while on the laptop so going to have 40 winks
and then finish this 2nd blue green and white AF cushion
NITE NITE FOR NOW XX

FILZ-IT ARRIVED YESTERDAY SO FINISHED BAG NO.3

BIG THANK YOU TO ALL

Thank you again for all the kind wishes
Just had a call from the Vet who did the op.....wow!
 how was he walking about?

Poor Mr T only had 20% lung capacity because almost all his organs had slipped inside his chest..hence the sunken sides everything was inside his rib cage!!!
The diaphragm was detached 180 degrees and he also has a couple of broken ribs
But the op went well and he stitched it back with a good seal and although he sounds raspy he said he is sitting up and looking bright

NEXT PROBLEM....
He has got to have a night at the hospital with the nurse then a whole week of cage rest and a whole month indoors........going to be hard for him to stay still

I'll volunteer to sit with him and nurse him back to health good excuse for me to sit on my bum with him close and crochet my heart out hehe
SO RELIEVED
now l need another mortgage to pay the bill!
off the bed soon l'm exhausted thinking about it all and the alarm goes off at 4.30 poor Phil back at work again lol
Hugs to all xx

NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS!!

I do hope so.......still not heard anything so presuming for now he's in recovery

for the lovely thoughts for Mr T....l'll update as l know anything
UPDATE:
Just had phone call to say all has gone really well and Mr T is sleeping it off now
He had a really bad tear in his diaphragm and almost all of his stomach was in his chest she didn't think he would have been in pain just discomfort
lots of rest and TLC after a couple of days in hospital....another lucky thing the animal hospital is only across and down the road half a mile
Thank you Pearl Veterinary Clinic

CROSS EVERYTHING MR T IN SURGERY....it's bad!

He was getting better but wasn't well took him to the vets yesterday and l think the vet didn't really know what was the problem or wasn't saying and l was told to go back at 10.40 this morning another vet saw him and told me what he thought was the worst scenario.....
In his opinion he thought he had probably been hit by a car and his diaphragm was torn and his organs were squeezing through and causing the heavy beathing
Poor poor Mr T...He did blood test..nothing so x-rays told the worst
please say a pray for my lovely naughty little furball

in surgery as l type should be about a 2.5 hour op so won't know anything until tea time
trying to keep busy feel awful and guilty that l didn't take him straight away because all be it slowly he seemed like he was getting better eating and drinking and had been lifting his tail more and more poor love

Vet said if he got through the anaesthetic and was stable he would have a 95% chance of full recovery through surgery
love ya furball  hurry back xx

haven't heard anything in the last 45 minutes so hoping he will be ok

African flower granny square.... another requested pattern

Played about with the square AF this morning so now have one l'm happy with
l used a double strand of DK Acrylic and a 6mm hook for this sample

THE African flower HEXAGON MOTIF IS NOT MY DESIGN

BUT THE SQUARE VERSION IS..QUICK PATTERN
Chain 6, sl st into a circle or make a magic circle
ROUND 1: 2dc, 1 ch , 2dc, repeat 7 times, sl st, to finish round
ROUND 2: 2dc, 2ch, 2dc, repeat 7 times...giving 8 sides, sl st to finish round.
ROUND 3: 5 dc in each of the points (chain sp)
(normally it's 7 but it made it very frilly and didn't lie flat so l did 5 instead)
ROUND 4: sc in each dc stitch, make a long st, (spike stitch) down to row 3 in between each petal
ROUND 5:
NOW IT STARTS TO CHANGE FROM THE 6 PETAL AFRICAN FLOWER MOTIF

ROUND 5: start in the stitch after the spike st
*1dc in the next 2sts, 1dc,1ch,1dc, in the next stitch (point of petal), 1dc in the next 5 sts, 1dc,1ch,1dc in the next st (point of petal), 1dc in the next 2 sts, miss a st, * repeat from
* to * 3 more times. (start of 4 sides) sl st to complete the round.
You will now have the beginnings of the 4sides
ROUND 6...Start to the side of the 'hole'
*1dc in next 2sts, 1sc in the chain st, then 1sc in the next 6 sts, 1sc in the chain space then miss a st and do 1dc in the next 2 sts
