ROLLED ROSE PATTERN

CROCHET ROSES
November 10th 2009

dk, 4mm hook
US Terms

Leave a long end to sew rose together.
chain 57.
Row 1: make wide 'v' st, (dc, ch 2, dc) in 6th ch from hook,
* miss next 2ch, (dc, ch2, dc) in next ch, repeat from * creating 18 sps, to add petals too, ch2, turn

Row 2: 5dc, in first 'v' st, [ch2 sp], sc, in next sp between, 6dc in next 'v' st, [ch2 sp], sc in next sp between, repeat 5 more times, [7 small petals]
9dc in next 'v' st, [ch2 sp], sc in next sp, between, repeat 4 more times, [5 medium petals],
12dc in next 6 'v' st, [ch2 sp], sc in last sp, [6 large petals]

Starting with the small petals, roll and sew together.

NOTE: Don't sew too tightly, and try to stagger the petals works best,
but rolling all the petals and then sewing worked
OR
I found that rolling the small petals first, then sewing, then the medium petals and sewing, then finish rolling and sewing the large petals
It does take a little practise.

Add a pin or sew directly onto your project.

Shaded yarn works well with this pattern too...

A great way to finish off your knitting or crochet pieces.

Fans will get the chance to see her shine on stage, witness musical performances in a concert setting and find out more about the challenges she has battled to rise to where she is now - all for the first time, he added.

Boyle’s rise to fame has been nothing short of amazing! She is even on track to have the biggest and fastest-selling album this year, as well as in history, according to predictions. If she doesn’t break these records, it will not be by much

TOP OF AMAZONS CHARTS FOR BEST SELLER ANYWAY

Our Bathroom update:

Late start for us yesterday but achieved an awful lot

We hadn't been able to decide on what to put down on the bathroom floor...but 6 months ago we had bought a small piece of carpet for a tenner to replace the landing carpet...Mr T had plucked every corner to shreds...his way of getting me out of bed in the morning..it worked!!

There was enough to do the bathroom as well....so we replaced most of the floor boards on the landing 1st and then Phil cooked dinner and l laid the landing carpet just kept going and the bathroom was done too...so a very good result to the day........brill!

Just need to add the trim and it's all finished...........yeeeeeeeeeeeeeees after months of leaking and damp patch on the kitchen ceiling all mended

Yellow centre
White flower

FELTING YARN FLOWER..pattern at weekend Debbie centre is done over a rubber ring!!

PIANO thanks for sending the link Phivos.......adore the piano

RUG LOVE.....
oooh you have started a sequence of events with the rug love hehehe.....already got several more rug ideas and almost written the pattern for the centre section and the granny square of the hall rug....also decided to use the existing granny square flowers as the heavier weight made it far too big to add to the rug so made up the remaining colours and all l have to do now is stitch it together and then crochet a few more rounds to add the border...all for the weekend

Debbie....l found the cupcakes eventually!!....new bed so we needed to rearrange the bedroom furniture to fit it in and found the cakes in a box while tidying up........ so pattern to follow and the felted flowers were all felted so l couldn't look at them to see how l made them but l've looked at the photos and will make another and write the pattern at the weekend for you....bit of rug love to deal with right now sorry hehe.....

It will teach me to write the pattern as l make things won't it?

FILMS....
Forgot to say we went to see Harry Brown at the flicks on Tuesday......brilliant film if you're thinking of going and we watched the Star Trek DVD last night...wasn't sure l would like it....going backwards an all......but again a brill film

THE JOY OF COLOUR

THE BEGINNINGS ON MY RIPPLE THROW
a work in progress

I love colour and often get asked about colour combo's......l'm not a natural at this and study colour all the time l still often get it wrong and agonise over some combinations

So l went looking for on line sites to help with colour combos found a couple
l thought might be of help...have fun

if set to auto will give you a selection of colours that 'go' together

Just answer a few questions and a selection of colours will be yours !

Want to do a colour test?..try this one the LOWER the score the better you did

l got 4 for my 1st score...area of blues was my downfall hehehe

Warning it's addictive

Some wonderful colour combo's if you like clear bright colours like l do

Night night all Sweet Dreams

BASIC RIPPLE PATTERN

BEEN ASKED ABOUT THE WRIST WARMERS AND SLIPPER/SOCKS

CHAIN BASE 24 chain stitches in a ring to start you need multiples of 12 for this ripple

4chain for the 4 treble then one chain for the increase then 4 chain for the trebles then
3 chain for the decrease = 12 to make a ripple pattern
1ST ROW: Chain 3 as the 1st treble then do 3 more trebles in next 3 base chain
increase do 3 treble into the next chain stitch making a peek then 4 more trebles into the next 4 base chain
then half a treble into the next 3 stitches retaining the loops on the hook then hook the wool through all of the loops to make a vally
repeat to complete the 1st row
change colour if doing stripes and repeat the 1st row until you've done as many rows as you need to fit your wrist or foot
l did about 14 rows for the wrist warmer and 14 rows but a bigger hook for the slipper/sock for my size 4 shoe (6mm hook) and 16 rows and a bigger hook(7mm) again for OH slipper/socks at size 9 shoe

Hope that helps Debbie?
