SUE'S V STITCH BLANKETS

Sue's V stitch blanket

This blanket can be made any size, multiples of 2 +1 st. In any weight yarn

I've made this blanket for a baby and an adult. Adjust the size to suit the project.

BLUE TWEED

This Blue tweed, adult size lap blanket I'm using 100sts +1st,

3 strands of yarn all dk, but 2 thinner than the 3rd, and all shaded yarns,  one was different colours too, an 8mm hook for the body of the blanket and a 9mm for the base chain.

Pattern:

CHAIN 101sts, turn [9MM HOOK]

ROW 1: [CHANGE TO AN 8MM HOOK] Ch2, [as first dc], dc in the 3rd st, from the hook, miss a ch, 2dc in next st, repeat the miss a st, 2dc in the next st to the end, finish with 2dc in the last st. Turn

ROW 2: sl st, into the sp between the first 2dc, Ch2, dc, this is how you will start each row, 2dc in the sp, between each pair of dc to end, turn and repeat row 2. TURN

ROW 3- AS MANY ROWS AS IT TAKES TO GIVE REQUIRED LENGTH

FLAME RED
This blanket was made with 109sts base chain, 2 strands of dk and a 7mm and 6mm hook, and I did 95rows.

It measures: 4' in length x 3' 7' wide.  With a simple 2 round granny shell edging

The Blue Tweed one is slightly wider and I will make it about the same length. And add the same 2 round granny shell border.

Im packing up slowly, hope to be moving soon...fingers crossed.

These are great storage bags, hold a great deal even though they look a bit like a row of body bags!

Oliver is very happy about the move, lovely big lawn for him to play on....

A Baby version of my V Stitch...a small tweedy version alternate rows of colour and natural.

I used a deeper border of block stitch for this one
