Moss Stitch How to do, Single crochet, lots of texture and not much colour

Moss Stitch Passion random dyed  and grey Merino, very soft
Sock wool and Merino
Texture, direction and single crochet...
and hardly any colour...

      Hi...it is isn't it I adore Moss st. And it's variation simple stitch just change the colour for different effects

    A pretty stitch, especially in the variegated sock wool mixed in with a neutral colour.

      Hi..yes the variegated yarn make it even easier to get lots of subtle colours into a piece of crochet

    Hi,

    Your pictures above inspired me to abandon a wip and create a baby blanket using a cream base and a variegated yarn. Unfortunately I've got ends to sew in on most rows as I couldn't take the yarn up the sides. Do you think I will still be able to create a bord or will it be too unstable and pull out the sewn in ends?

      Hi glad you like...it should be stable enough just make sure you catch a full stitch when doing the border

    I've crocheted for thirty years, and this is still my favorite stitch! I've heard it called linen stitch, seed stitch, and moss stitch, and it doesn't matter what you call it or how you do it, it is always beautiful.
