Gerbera Octagon



OCTAGON DAISY MOTIF PATTERN

A bit like a Gerber flower 


Found this picture that I added to Pinterest many moons ago, I couldn't
find the pattern so i've re-written it link above.

I've used a random dyed yarn for this sample but you can use a plain yarn and  change colour each round

DK 4mm hook
or
Aran 5mm hook

Join as you go 2 points at sides and in the corners using a sl st. 
long trtr, petals, and infill pattern

CELTIC CROSS SCARF PATTERN



This simple, 2 round motif makes a fabulous delicate scarf...another pattern that would use up all those tiny ends of yarn mix with a ball or two of a background colour to make a pretty little Lacey Scarf....resembling a Celtic Cross in a circle

CELTIC CROSS SCARF PATTERN


PATTERN FOR LACEY SCARF PATTERN
taken from the centre of another pattern, to make a lovely Lacey scarf, If you look closely it sort of resembles a celtic cross in a circle...





CELTIC CROSS PATTERN
DK, Cotton or wool in several cols.[centres], one joining col. 

4mm hook
US Terms, Uk Terms in brackets


First colour, 1finger wrap of 5 wraps or ch4, sl st, into a circle.

Round 1: Basically a first round granny square but with 4dc [4tr], on each side, instead of 3dc [3tr], in first colour..... 
ch2 counts as first dc [tr], 3dc [3tr], ch3, 4dc,[4tr], ch3, repeat until you have 4 sides, 4 corners, sl st, to complete round. (16dc [16tr])


Round 2: Att. new colour, in any ch3, sp, ch5, 2tr [2dtr], in same sp, ch5, sc, [dc], into same sp, sc,[dc], in next 3sps, sc, [dc], into next ch3 sp, repeat for each side, sl st to complete. 


Join as you go
between the 3rd and 4th ch st, and 2nd and 3rd ch st, each side of centre
 tr [dtr], using a slip st, into first motif
