We went mad and spent £1 on a bed in bits a chest full of turned bits and carved wood for £3 and a tin Guinness Plaque for £8...last of the big spenders lol
lots of fun though and more to come
The bed and some shelves cost £1...covered in dirt and years of wax
after a gentle scrap with a plastic fork and a rub with wire wool the details came up a treat
Couple of the turned spindles were going to be perfect for large painted candle sticks
Only managed to do one today and it still needs a metal cup for the candle but again came up a treat
Kaz great to catch up and hope you got all you wanted?....we had a great time and we got enough bits to finish the 1st bench but ran out of time in making it today....early night......work for Phil in the morning then a full week off so the 1st bench and the second candle stick will soon be transformed
Must hoover and tidy the house tomorrow it has turned into a reclamation yard right now!! lol
