I FOUND A BOX OF GRANNY SQUARES....

......from a project a couple of years back. Stored in a box, I couldn't decide on how to join them together, now i knew exacly how to join them together....with black, V stitch
made with all the colours of my Stylecraft Special colours and a sock yarn,
 mixed and worked together as one yarn to give a little texture and a 5mm hook.
 
 I had put a couple of the squares together when Phil arrived home last night, he took one look at it and suggested it would make a great blanket/throw for Eric,
his new Classic VW Variant that he bought the other day and is now ready for an MOT and a touch of crochet for the back seat
 It needs to be 4' or 1.22m wide and about 10 squares long so....
  I will need to make a few more to cover the complete seat but for now I have 40,
20 already together and I love it...it would have made a great wrap too...
 
but Eric won.

    They're wonderful! I love the way the colours pop against the black :) I'm also crocheting up a blanket for a classic VW - I think the two things go together brilliantly.

      Hi Joy, phil loves it anyway, all 40 sq. together now, but I will need to do about another 60 lol....pity it would have been a lovely wrap and almost finished, but Eric won.

    I was just about to say the same as 'yarn and penci'......so, Lucky Eric! I love that edging you've used. Is it 'v' stitch?

      Hi yes. 'V' stitch on a simple solid granny, but it now looks a bit like a square flower, slightly scalloped. I will be using it again for sure
      As soon as Eric gets a clean and sparkles I will add a picture or two

    That's suh a great find! The black really makes the colors pop! What an awesome idea to make a seatcover with it! Can't wait to see the finished result!
