Decorations up, poncho at 46 rows...

Making my own Marble yarn, mixing two strands of dk, 6mm hook to create my version of a Marble Chunky yarn for the next Poncho....loving it so far but now i don't know whether to make a blanket with it instead of a Poncho?

The cushion goes well in the Christmas kitchen, pattern from my book 2 Granny Squares and Shapes

Lots of reds, pinky/red, orangey/reds, soft reds, dark reds into two groups and mixing them up, few rows of this and few rows of that changing them mid row or at the end of a row...6mm hook. Working for me so far.

Blue version of my Poncho pattern with my Big Beastie blanket

SNOW RECORD,
just incase i forget it arrived in a weekend just before Christmas 2017

Christmas decorations up wasn't much else we could do this weekend, stay in and stay warm
with this You Tube 'real fire' on the TV, very effective crackles as well

my car, cleared off once this is the second falling

About 14" in total but the sun is out today and I'm not sure it will last much long.....pity

  3. Either but I would love a poncho in those colours - it would put a smile on my face every time I put it on! So lovely, bright & warm. I don't know about you but I find all the dark wintery colours so dreary.

  5. Love that 2 colour crochet, the poncho looks great in the greys. I shall investigate size by trying 2 stands together over a set number of stitches and have a go!

  8. My goodness! Your tree, the snow, bright cheery crochet... What more can one hope for when accessing a personal blog?!
What a lovely blessing! Regarding the poncho/blanket option for your self-made marbled yarn... BLANKET! I was recently DYING to make a V-Stitch blanket, but I just get confused and exhausted trying to figure out the colorwork part of late... The colors you are using are PERFECT!
Thank you for sharing and teaching!

  11. I'm always in awe of people who can put colours together and they just gel. Whilst I am a good crafter that skill eludes me.
