JOIN AS YOU GO
Use a sl st at the end of each st, to join to the previous hex, for this design do no join the ch 3 sts only the dc sts should be joined together, this leave a tiny triangle in the centre of each join

SIMPLE PLAIN BORDER
this border is fr a hex of 9 rounds, adjust stitch count for a hex bigger or smaller

pick your colour and add rows of 17dc missing a st at the dip of each pair of hex's and 2dc, ch2, 2dc at points. [17dc, each side]
17dc each side of each hex the open finish row do a dc, ch1 dc, ch1 instead of dc, in each st,  [9 spokes each side]

  7. Sue, I love this pattern..very easy and beautiful!! I'm going to make the hex. larger and turn it into a pillow cover for a square pillow. Do you have a pattern that I could use to turn it into a square for the last several rows? Thank you so much for sharing your amazing talent with all of us!! xoxo

    1. Hi Joanna, i never did a border as its a scrap blanket to be added to as and when you have scraps enough to make another few hex's. But a simple border like the one on another similar hex pattern links don't work on comments so i will find the edging stitch and ad it to this pattern as an option for you xx
