Round 5:  att. yarn in a sc, between 2 bobbles, ch3,[counts as first dc and ch1 point], dc, in same st, this will be the first corner,

 to complete. [6sides, 6points ]

JOIN AS YOU GO
When first hex is complete, make a second hex and joined as you go with round 5, using a sl st, after each st to join to the first hex.
In the ch1, point, replace the ch1, with a sl st, to join at the corner sps. and when joining a hex into the dip of 2 other hex's then sl st, into the join st. between the first 2 hex's, then cont. on and sl st, after each st, into to matching st.

FINISHING ROUND
Round 1: Att. same yarn as joining yarn in any point, 2sc, ch3, 2sc into ch1 point, sc in each on the 8 side sts, 2sc ch3, 2sc at next point, or when at a dip,
miss the joining st, [dip of hex], sc in the 8 side sts, repeat, for all hex sides, points and dips.

Another possible option with a different Centre all together so long as you finish with 18 bobbles you can use the hex round and the joint round to complete.

  1. I have been absolutely stumped by what colors to use with the Plum Wine for 3 years! I can't believe how good it works with the colors you chose! just beautiful! All of the color schemes! I suspected Chartreuse was the color of the bobbles with the sage! I've never seen it in person.. and it looked neon in pics online.. so I'm really glad to see it here! And the color you call "Blue"? Is that the name of the color? I thought it was "Ocean", just double checking for my own edification. This is so much fun!

  2. P.S The blanket I made for my now 1 month old granddaughter was in Watermelon. The border flowers are White with Limelight for the leaves.

  3. I'm sorry. I had to say more. I was taken with the bottom pic of circles with bobble edges and what looks like spike stitches? I think it's from your amazing Carousel Throw? I envy your artistic eye for color! I just realized that those circles "appear" to be from the Caron Simply Soft too. Am I right? I am blown away by the gorgeous color pairings you came up with! I honestly have almost every single color, and have kept the majority of them stocked, for at Least 3 years. I never thought to pair colors like you have and I am both humbled and so thrilled that you are creating such beautiful color options for me to learn from since I hadn't seen those options all these years. Take a bow, Sue! 👏
