Still trying to decide on the fill ins for the jacket....thought l have decided but Kate (The Garden Bell) has used a smaller flower and l think l like that better than my octagon but a WIP right now
tried a more open fill in but didn't like it and l'm struggling with colour too...one colour as a contrast or lots of colours?
I'm making a jacket of my 8petal flower but Kate is making a blanket
YELLOWS AND ORANGES FOR NEXT BLANKET ROUND...
My blanket is a 12 petal flower and a mix of my flower and the Japanese flower
The whole house if getting very flowery and they do look great lol
sorry the pictures aren't as sharp as they should be when l need to take pictures it's always dark lol
but you get the idea and the splash of colour l'm sure
Each fill in is different in stitch or colour...now will l unpick any or just keep
playing with variations?

I really love it like this. Your fill-ins are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI love the little blue fill-ins, they look great, but I am a bit of a sucker for a bright blue!
ReplyDeleteWOW! I have just been reading your recent flower-filled posts - very inspiring. I look forward to seeing the finished articles. Best wishes, Pj x
ReplyDeleteMy goodness!! I love the colours you have chosen. I'm smitten!!!

I love your filler too. And your colors are sooooooooo much better than the stash I'm working with. But, my first join-as-you-go skill has to be in learning mode. I'm still debating just where I'm going. I will wait patiently to see just how your put your jacket together lay-out wise. I will be definately doing another in better colors, that's for sure. This is so much fun and such a nice change.

ReplyDeleteSuz, your colors are just inspirational! My flower shawl is kind of like a crazy quilt with crazy colors, but still it's fun. So glad I'm done with my granny stripe and can flower power on! Hugs, Teresa
